Peter Relan started working with founders in 2007 because of his passion to collaborate with founders as a guide and a resource.
Along with Jerry Held and Les Wright, Peter is the co-founder of 9+, a leading incubator program in Silicon Valley. Prior to that he was founder of both the incubator YouWeb and the internet fraud detection system Business Signatures, as well as CTO of Webvan and VP at Oracle.
Peter has a BS in Computer Engineering from UCLA and an MS in Engineering Management from Stanford.
Michael Kim is the founder and Managing Partner of Cendana Capital, a next generation fund-of-funds investing in private equity. He is a member of the LP Advisory Boards of Accelerator Ventures, Bowery Capital, Forerunner Ventures, Founder Collective, Freestyle Capital, IA Ventures, K9 Ventures, Lerer Ventures, MHS Capital, PivotNorth Capital and SoftTech VC.
Prior to founding Cendana Capital, Michael was one of the original partners of Rustic Canyon Partners, a venture capital firm with approximately $1 billion under management. He was also an investment banker at Morgan Stanley's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions Group in Menlo Park, and was directly involved with 27 announced transactions worth over $77 billion.
He is an honors graduate of Cornell University, where he served on the Cornell Council, has an MS from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University, where he serves on the MSFS Advisory Board, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Jerry Held has been a successful entrepreneur, executive, and investor in Silicon Valley for over 35 years. He was a CEO-in-residence with the venture capital firm Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers and is now a Partner at 9+ where he focuses on providing strategic consulting to CEOs and entrepreneurs.
Previously, Jerry was an SVP at Oracle and the CTO of Tandem. He serves on the Boards of Informatica, NetApp, Kalio, Risk Management Solutions, and Copia, and he is Chairman of the Board at Tamr and Software Development Technologies. He has previously served on many boards including Business Objects, Vertica, and Openwave.
He holds a BS in electrical engineering from Purdue, an MS in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Nate Wheatley is a business consultant and attorney who specializes in solving complex business problems, structuring durable deals, and creating substantial value for companies, organizations, and individuals.
Next to acting as advisor to Venovate, Nate currently is EVP and Chief Strategy Officer at Provident Trust Group, and Partner at Sage Law. Previously, Nate practiced law for over a decade, was a partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP, and was selected by his peers for the 20th edition of The Best Lawyers in America, in the practice area of commercial litigation.
Nate proudly served five years in the US Army, where he was a military intelligence Noncommissioned Officer and an Arabic linguist.
He holds an MBA from Brenau University, and a JD from Syracuse University, where he was the Managing Editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
Rob Lamb is a seasoned financial services executive with over 20 years of experience in investment management, investment company operations, and capital markets.
Rob founded Grayson Group, which offers marketing, sales and related advisory services to investment management firms.
He is also a partner at Profitable Channels, which helps some of the largest and most respected field sales organizations generate measurable sales results by executing sales enablement programs and solutions that differentiate, open doors, acquire high value clients and influencers, and build trust.
Previously, he was a Managing Director of Boston-based Babson Capital Management, a subsidiary of MassMutual Financial Group, where he served as co-head of the firm’s Private Wealth Management Group.
He received a BA from Pomona College and a JD from Harvard Law School.
